Text message in the morning from 0427 107 446: "Please quote your verification code Q853NV to practice staff to verify your mobile number". I never responded.
15 minutes later a message from another mobile number: "Hi Mr. Adam Bartels, your appointment is confirmed". The text was from a legitimate medical centre in Victoria.

My name is not Adam Bartels and it appears they have spoofed/imitated my mobile phone number to arrange a doctor's appointment.

0427 107 446 reported as spam and blocked. Next time, the Australian Federal Police will be contacted and a complaint lodged with them.
