It's a scam!

Getting texts 2 days in a row now saying "your rent is now 5 days in arrears please rectify this issue. LJHooker Algester". The first message was from 0427 106 784 and the second was from 0427 282 522

I have received several messages from this number , saying the rent is overdue !!! ?

Just got an invite from Andrew Sparks about "Premiere Night" at an address in Greystanes.

These messages are automated reminder text messages sent through a rental database system such as Console. They are used to remind tenants when their rent is overdue (but not far enough overdue for a Notice to Remedy breach) in an effort to get tenants to pay their rent before it becomes necessary to note a NTRB in their file. Usually if you get one and it's clearly not for you, then your phone number has been mistakenly provided as a contact number for one of their tenants. You should be able to reply to the text and they should take your number out of their database.

You are 3 days in arrears; please ring LJHooker 49572600 to make urgent pmt. Pls dont reply to this text. Tks

Looks like the same rubbish as everyone else on this list. Funny thing is that I do have a rental property and the tenant is currently in credit.

Received a text message today from this number to say that our rent is in the rear to the amount of $869. Hunter French

your rent is 5 days overdue. dont know who it is or what rent they are reffering to

Message received 6 August 2012 saying Routine Inspection was excellent, messaged them back but no reponse.
Have received a second SMS 24 January 2013 saying maintenance is required.

Aren't real estates suppose to send remedy to breach etc etc

How can this sh*t go on the telco's need to find said persons who send these messages and sort it
