Received a text claiming to be from ebay.com.au offering coupons. At the bottom of the message said send STOP to 0427 055 200 to stop receiving messages. #hoax #spam

Text message to mobile from ebay.com.au, looks almost legit but was suspicious cause ebay does not have my mobile number. to opt to stop you text 0427 055 200. This is the same scam number as many people on here are reporting.

Got a message for 15% off at eBay by following a link that didn’t seem right. Says to messsge stop to 0427 055 220 to cancel. No thanks!

same deal, name I only use for a throwaway google account showed up, which is interesting how someone has managed to tie my phone number to a name that only shows up when I log into a certain google account. it's the g+ data breach for sure.

i got a TXT & it just said Ebay.com.au & this # mobile # 0427 055 200 i logged into my Ebay acc & no new messages . so must be Scammers.

Ebay spam. Looked at the link and the page seems legit but I don't want any of the crap they are selling. I don't want any more crap spam from this or any other number. I don;t care if it's ebay, ebay is just idiotic like the rest of the spammers.

Text received.Contacted eBay via chat who told me there was no way to opt out receiving sms from them. (Pretty sure that's illegal and told them so) Tried to block but sender shows no number so can't And I'm not following links to unsubscribe..

i received a txt today from this number and knew straight off it was a scam. i looked up find this number and i see all these complaints and reviews. Ive blocked this number!

Messaged STOP before I realised it was spam

Unsolicited SMS offering eBay app with 10% discount, but hyperlink is not legit eBay address - it's "https://ebay.onelink.me/... which site seems to belong to AppFlyer.

It goes on to say that I should SMS STOP to them if I want to unsubscribe. As I haven't subscribed in the first place, I won't be confirming my number to them by doing so. I trust them about as far as I could spit them
