Claims to be eBay offering me discounts.

Same as above. Same number to contact to STOP. You'd think the big telcos would crack down on these scammers and cancel or redirect the their calls/texts to Nigeria or somewhere. I'm sure they could do something about it ( or government could request they do) but I guess the telcos make money from it as it is. All we can do is keep deleting.

Two texts from this number one on Sept. 2, & one today, 17 Sept 2020. Both obviously a SCAM / FAKE EBAY SPAM which states the following:

Got an SMS with an eBay offer promising $100 with $60 min spend and directing me to send STOP to this number instead of as a reply.

No way to reply to actual message.

This is the Second time this has happened

They called me Toan (WHICH ISNT MY NAME ) ... and it says Opps There was an ''error'' with the coupon code in our last message please use the code ''UWXG7J........'' to save $5 dollars right now on Ebay using a spam link https://www.ebay.com *$5 dollar min spend ends 30/06 T&C apply https://tc.ebay.com/eoqsms and then you need to replay to confirm your number which isnt recommend to 0427 055 200
Delete the number and Black list it on your phone

Text message from eBay claiming you give me an offer with a link. Said to text STOP to 0427 055 200. Clearly a scam or malware of some sort.

Text reads OP 0427 055 200. from this number. Then another text offering 20% discount with ebay plus. I deleted both.

I too received some messages from this number offering some promotions like save 20%, save $5 etc when you click link to an ebay app they supply followed by end so and so date T & Cs apply. Followed by another link and finally SMS STOP to 0427 055 200. I immediately assumed it was a scam because i'm on prepaid and have never had a phone bill over what i usually pay. These guys are cunning because on top of the message the name is ebay.com.au so anyone could be fooled. Whatever you do dont open their links and dont reply them. What I found really interesting is that in one message they addressed me as my first name but on a different message they addressed me with a nickname I only use on my Google account. I do have 2 google accounts where I use one for work and another my nickname when posting on youtube videos etc. Therefore they must have obtained my number somehow from Google. This goes to show syncing accounts to one to make life easier etc is all bs as your privacy is compromised. Had i not needed to give them a mobile number to verify who i am in the first place when creating my email I never would have received all these spams and scams. Google are terrible at securing your personal info.
