Credit Corp debt collectors. One of several mobile numbers they use to trick people into answering. - AnonymousJuly 26, 2018UnknownAustralia
Caller: credit corp
Regardless of whether you owe an outstanding debt or not, it is imperative that ANYONE who calls you must identify themselves and where they are calling from. If they fail to do so, then do not give them any personal information. So many innocent people are being scammed out of their hard earned money these days, do not give out your info, until they tell you who and where they are from. - HdfjrfhsvgfnMay 23, 2017Prank CallAustralia

Have been calling me so often over last 6 mths chasing a family member. When they started messaging my number addressing the family member directly with personal info that was last straw. Have reported them to ACCC. - AnonymousOctober 2, 2017OtherAustralia

One of the hundreds of numbers they try to call from. Have used crazy tactics to try to make contact but when they won’t disclose who they are and I don’t agree with their ways I refuse to deal with them.
Have called neighbours I don’t even know to door knock at my house and make contact. Have somehow found records of my private landlord and they have made comments of “we know you live in —so and so’s— house”, called a very random and distant acquaintance and discovered this must have come about from a Facebook profile pic 6 years ago in which this person commented on and said they would text me... dodgy and sly. Won’t ever disclose who they are without all your personal information first and refuse to disclose where they obtain private information or these other contacts from. They’ll never get a cent out of me. - AnonymousJuly 16, 2020Scam callAustralia
Caller: Repeat caller
I have recently been starting to get calls from this company. Do not ever talk to them. What they do is completely illegal illegal and they are snakes. They will pretend they are other companies and will lie in order to try and get information about you or others. Never, ever, ever discuss anything. They try to get you to disclose your ID before they even say who they are. Do not answer the phone if you don't know the number. If you don't recognise the number, don't answer the call. If they're legit they'll leave a message, including ID, and you call back, like with normal people. They tried to call again from the same mobile number. I blocked them. I don't owe anyone any debts. I am not discussing things with any dodgy company that is about nothing and only about them getting information they do not need. This company should be jailed. - AnonymousJuly 6, 2020UnknownAustralia

I spoke to one of them a while back, he said to me that when he pays $1000 for a $15000 debt that he expects to get the $15000, I pointed out that he doesn't have a contract with me and that he'd done his dough, he almost cried. - AnonymousJune 30, 2020UnknownAustralia
They have called me for the last 10 years, Chasing someone i know longer know, I have told them to leave me alone, I have no idea where is person is any more but they keep calling, - AnonymousJune 24, 2020UnknownAustralia

Yes they buy debt from where or who and God knows when & they continually try to hassle your family and friends into giving them information but don’t give them anything just block them and don’t reply as they have no right or legal recourse, they’re just parasitic scum. - AnonymousMay 28, 2020UnknownAustralia
Caller: Looking for random acquaintance
Called me asking about how to contact a random school mum acquaintance from years ago. "I said I don't even know who that is". He was very polite but did not identify who he was calling from. I don't know whether he was trawling old school directories or what but the connection between myself and the other party was tenuous at best so I have no idea why I came up in his search.
Absolutely appalling behaviour if this is a creditcorp tactic. - AnonymousMay 22, 2020Debt collectorAustralia
Thanks for the heads up. Rule No. 1.
Never answer phone unless you know who’s calling.
Too many scammers around that want your cash.
Let them leave a message and only call back once you know the caller. - AnonymousApril 24, 2020UnknownAustralia

SCAM. Hang up and block the phone number.
My experience:
This was the dodgiest phone call I've ever received.
When the person answered he said his name was Sanna. When I let him know that I had received a missed call from this number and that I was calling back, he took a few moments before letting me know that his name was Ramesh and that he was trying to reach out to [first name of person that I know].
I asked him where he was calling from, how he got my phone number and the reason for his call. He let me know that he can't disclose where he's calling from unless I confirm who he's speaking to. I refused to let him know my name unless he told me where he was calling from (because wtf?!).
This went on for a little while before I told him that there are online forums with dozens of complaints about this phone number that say that "calls from this number are from people who claim to work from 'Credit Corp,' can you confirm that you work for this company?" ... After a while he finally gave in and confirmed that he did work there.
He asked me to ask [the person I know] to call Sanna back on this mobile number.
I told him that I will definitely will not be passing on this message onto the person that I know because this was the most dodgy conversation I've ever had. Just because he was pissing me off, I asked him if I provide the phone number on the Credit Corp group website 1800 221 414 https://www.creditcorp.com.au/) to the person he's calling for, whether they would be pointed to the correct person. He said no. Geez.
I asked him to remove my phone number from their database and never to call me again.
I will not be passing on any details to the person I know.
