This is one of those scams where they make a very short call and obviously after saying nothing to your answering “Hello”, I suspect that they are trying to get you to call them back.
I called this # from a different ph, definitely DO NOT CALL BACK FROM THE PHONE THEY CALLED YOU ON because this can connect them to your mobile plan or create a bridge between your phone & theres.
Now this number 0424 389 046 that I called back using a different private landline phone gave me the response that it has incoming call restrictions.
These scams are becoming more and more frequent and much more elaborate in their set up and sting.
I feel that our telcos should be investing much more into both landline and Mbl phone security. I personally don’t think that they’re doing enough to stop these scammers. I mean, how can a scammer call you from a number that is not supposed to exist? This is beyond my understanding, if a phone number doesn’t exist, how can the scammer use it to call not only yourself, but thousands of other ppl as well.
