Selling a ticket on gumtree and sent a fake screenshot of a purchase being made to my account. Luckily I noticed the numbers were copied and paste and the BSB number they used was fake.

As above, scammed on tickets for sale on gumtree, if anyone has had any luck reporting etc I’d like to know too.same email too. Luckily mine wasn’t as much as some of the others above

The same exact thing has happened to me, scammed me out of $290 :( number now inactive or blocked. I wish I had googled this before!!!

Same here. They sent a dodgy screenshot. I didnt fall for it. Again courtneyjade922 @ gmail.com was used.
There first contact was from 0422 895 193 then sent the fake netbank transfer from 0422 265 298

I just got scammed by this person. Exact same details as above, emailed my concert tickets courtneyjade922 @ gmail.com and never seen the money. I also request a screenshot of the transaction which looked legit but I never cross checked the BSB number.

Will only ever use PayPal for online transactions going forward.

Gumtree tix within 24hrs of event. Screenshot pretty good but the bsb was different to commbank so I did google search on the mob number and found this. Thx all for posting. You saved me

Same thing here - I’m in the process - they want to buy my tickets and only send a screenshot... I’m thinking of playing along but obviously not sending the tickets!

What a scumbag! I’m so lucky I found this site before I sent the tickets.

As above - asked to purchase tickets I listed on gumtree. Avoid transaction with the person using this number.

I also got scammed by this number. Lost $250. I let them now the money hasn’t come through despite it being 24 hours. No reply. I reported them to ACORN - I suggest everyone does the same!

I "sold" a ticket to this person on gumtree ($275). They sent a screenshot of the transaction from a computer screen and the numbers were all correct but i thought it was strange that they the transaction was from a computer. It has been a week and the money hasn't come through. I have tried texting and calling but haven't heard since.

was selling festival tickets on gumtree and got scammed by whoever is behind this number. when i call it now it leads to a voicemail from optus saying it's a dead number. now im out of $480 :(

I got scammed... lost $400 to this person! I asked for the screenshot of transaction and it appeared legit to me. Considering reporting to police as it looks like they will continue to do it!

Unfortunately I fell victim to this person! I have lost $350. Just out of curiosity, how did you realise the screenshot was fake? I scrutinised it and it appeared legit?
Any suggestions on my next step?
