Caller: RSPCA Not span or a scam it is a third party organisation calling on behalf of the RSPCA. They maybe a bit of a nuisance to you but just be polite and say you can’t afford to donate or don’t donate over the phone. The work the RSPCA do is vital in protecting and caring for mistreated, abandoned and abused animals that are suffering because of human neglect. Governments and councils should be doing more to support worthy charities but since they don’t charities have no other option but to depend heavily on decent caring people to donate when they can. A phone call maybe annoying but you can say no nicely.

My phone rang only a few times then hung up. I called the number immediately and was told this number has been disconnected.

Caller: RSPCA They have called me 16 times since October 2020 - I have messaged to be removed from their call list and nothing happens. I have now registered a complaint to the ACMA and urge others to do the same. I believe in the RSPCA but this is pest behaviour and makes me think twice about donating anything. Please complain here: https://www.acma.gov.au/spam-complaint-form

Caller: RSPCA Having donated to the RSPCA years ago, they seem to believe my number is a free for all. They attempt a call every 3 days, clearly based on their system rotation. I have blocked the number, but can still see the attempts in caller ID app.

Caller: RSPCA Donations Request I donated once 2 years ago and had to give the RSPCA my contact details. Had I known the nuisance of getting the calls, at least 1-2 per week, I would not have done so. After asking the RSPCA Team to take me off their call list, the calls stopped for about 2 months but started again. This number has been on my Blocked Callers List, I still receive the 'Missed Call' Message. The RSPCA is an amazing organisation but the barrage of calls is very annoying. I suggest donating anonymously where possible, if this is something you want to do.

Obviously these many calls are from a Call Centre on a rolling basis! If one number doesn’t answer then the system goes to the next number. Hence they hang up! All a waste of time!!

As I don't pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers, I rely on those callers to leave a message on mailbox. With this number the incoming call never leaves a message on mailbox because they only let it ring for 15 seconds. To go to mailbox it needs to ring 20 seconds or longer.
I don't know if it is RSPCA but it could well be, as I am definitely on their database because I have received calls from them over the last 10 years.
