Got a text from another number 0497 866 770 claiming it was my child and they were texting from their friend's phone. They told me to text this number 0421 017 581, and that it was their new sim. That their old number could not be reached. I texted the "new sim" number and they said they waterlogged their phone and needed to get a new sim. I knew my daughter was at school and could not have obtained a new sim as have tracking on her phone. I asked if their name was "?" (a fake name) and they said yes. I knew it was a scam but called school to double check and it was definetely not my daughter.
