Caller: Some d*ckhead

I picked up, but I didn't say anything for ten seconds. No one said anything on the other side and just hung up. What absolute vermin. Whoever came up with this automated system needs to be skinned alive then thrown into a salt bath. With a LOT of salt.

Blocked number 0420 104 704 then started getting calls from 0420 102 805

Caller: 'Australia Information Line'

Sounded international cold call centre. Hung up on them as soon as she said 'hi I'm from Australian information line'.

Thanks to all who took time to share their experiences. Makes it easy to block & ignore. I had all of your comments left occur with other numbers as well. My blocked call list is getting linger than those I actually know. I don't answer unknown numbers but now & then I get caught out & do answer & they usually swear & curse me before I hang up on them mid sentence. Insane waste of our time. Wish it would be outlawed but I guess Telstra etc. get a quid from it all.

Knew my name. Wanted to discuss superannuation

Constant calls, answered once but they didn't say anything so I hung up. They never leave a message and will call 2-3 times in a row when you don't answer. I blocked it, but noticed not long after I started getting similar calls from another 0420 number... blocked that too.

They want my details to compare my super fund. I just said I don't need to review my super and hang up.

Missed call. No message. Just blocked it
