Some kind of broker for banks asking about your mortgage

I had a missed call from 0420 104 597, so returned the call. It was New Path lending and finance wanting to talk about my home loan.

Luckily, I sound like I'm about 15 years old, so the woman assumed it had been an incorrect data entry on their end and removed me from their call list.

The woman was rude when I asked how they got my number. She told me I had a mortgage (I do not have one). I tried calling back from a private number and it doesn't connect through. This is a scam. Do not answer this call!

didn't recognise number so didn't answer, obviously a scam or marketing call

Have missed this number a few times. Finally answered today.
Me:Hello ..... speaking
Them: long silence before a female spoke "Hello is this .....?"
Me: Yes
Them: Hang up

Caller: NewPath

Phoned back. Newpath its a home loan company.

Scammer, don't bother calling back, they are just wanting to glean your personal info

I answered "hello" (changed my voice slightly as I know scammers record your words to use later for their own nefarious purposes) whoever it was just hung up immediately ... what a loser

I answered and it appeared there was no one there, then I heard someone speak as I was hanging up. I've had a string of scam calls despite being a do not call number. All are being reported via the ombudsman.

I answered. They said nothing.

Caller: Potential Fraud

The conversation went something like this...after my phone displayed potential fraud.
Me: "Hulllo"
Scammer: "Has someone talked to you earlier about your home loan"?
Me "Nup".
End call.

I called back the number 0420 104 597 and reached vm that did not mention the company name
