An ad on facebook for a caravan for sale appeared to be too good to be true! However, the more emails received from Jason Davidson with more details, the more it appeared plausible. He sent the same information as in previous comments stating he is moving overseas, etc.
Email is akw776 @ hotmail.com and when it was entered into google search, this site appeared!
Thank heavens for this website and thank you to the people who took the time to record this scam!

Are you still interested in my 2004 motor home for $31,800.

Looking at motor homes however price seems way too low. Suspect a 'con' job as the SMS said to email zxvc (at) hotmail (dot) com

Jason is still at it.
This time caravan is in storage in Geraldton, WA, no company provided. His IP address is from Sydney Australia
Email extract. Please be aware, PS called the freight company and he hung up on me.

My Name
I forgot the link, here you are,
www.express-freight.net.au
Tel: (02) 8003 3112

The reference number for my Jayco is EF 656448

Everything is ready to go, I just need your details (full name, shipping address and ph.no.) so I can register the transaction. I hope you have the funds ready, even if they will accept a minimum of 50% initial deposit, you'll need to deposit the remaining balance to gain the ownership of the Jayco.
Once I will register you as a potential buyer the shipping guys will get the ball rolling.

Cheers,
Jason

Name of Jacyo seller: Jason Davidson
OK-Transport customer service name: David Lee.
This website is down at the moment but was what was given to me from Jason Davidson. 2016jacyostracraftcaravanoutback-ws12mv.weebly.com.
Found on Facebook marketplace
Both myself and my husband sent enquiries but only replied to me. (targeting women)
Email address: akw776 @ hotmail.com
Shipping company: https://ok-transport.com.au/index.html
ABN is registered but not for GST meaning they cannot claim GST and a 'company' that size should be claiming GST
The shipping company will ask for a reference number - 6 digits.

I'm selling my 2005 Mercedes Sunliner EuroSpa Motorhome 5 Cylinder Turbo Diesel Automatic with Cruise control. It is in perfect condition, no big words!.......The only reason for the sale (and the price!!) is my relocation to beautiful Thailand, I have chosen to move here with my wife and kids. I have the Motorhome stored back home and ready to be delivered, please note that $32000 is my FINAL price, NOT negotiable.
Just take a look at the pictures, they speak for themselves:
Regards,
Jason

I wonder if “Jason” reads these posts! Haha

At the early stages of this (2005 Sprinter Motorhome) scam by Jason Davidson. Same deal, moved to Thailand etc. waiting for the next email about the shipping company! Caught on pretty quick to this “too good to be true” sale. First seen on Facebook but quickly disappeared but I had email by then. Using photos and description from a Gold Coast dealers yard that had been sold!

Shame the police etc can’t catch them!

Still at it with a RV well below market value. People always check deals especially the "good to be true" ones.

Still at it, this time he offered a 2005 Mercedes Sunliner Motor home for $33,000 Vin number WDF9046132A929789. Tried to view the Motorhome was told it was with Express Freight in Port Hedland and asked for a 50% deposit. Asked to view the motor home before payment but told to pay first to view the home. Address given seems to be a vacant warehouse on Google.

The same scam is being run in Queensland courier mail. The papers need to do better to protect consumers. Especially since they've been active for so long. Phoned the number in the camperhome ad and received text back today. So, still active.

BEWARE- In Saturday Advertiser and Sunday Mail Adelaide 27th and 28th October 2018 advert selling Sunliner motor home 78000 km using akw776 @ hotmail.com very cheap. I smelt a rat and googled the supplied email address only to find that he has been busy trying to con many others of their hard earned dollars. Glad you all are smart enough to do your own research. Sadly because he is still active someone has been caught. I would like to know however how he extracts money from people?

Caller: Jason Davidson by text

He's still at it. We answered an ad for the top line Paradise motorhome in the Brisbane Sunday Mail as being at Rosewood, QLD. The following weekend it had a sold note on it. About a week later, he sent a text asking if we were still interested. Too good to be true at approx one-third of market value at $42,600 but we asked for the address to inspect it. Suddenly, he was away in Thailand and the motorhome was in Port Hedland. We then received the same letter quoted by Anonymous in May (above) with the simple substitution of "motorhome" for "boat". Smelling increasingly rotten fish through this process, we asked for details of the shipping agent so we could contact them direct and said we would fly to Perth to see it. So we have called his bluff because he hasn't been in touch since. He used the email address akw776 (at) hotmail (.com). The VIN number he quoted was WDB9061552N456068 and of course, it was a legitimate number for a Mercedes chassis with the Rego 487ROR.
We note there are several complaints and comments from 2015 about the same scam using the number 0417 200 063.

I believe this was a follow up from a call I made to an advert in the Adelaide Advertiser some time ago.

Had an SMS asking if still interested in Mercedes Campervan. SMS suggested I email to akw776 @ hotmail.com.

I said I would call back next day. Did so and number came up disconnected. I sent text asking for Rego number and suggested contact me by SMS for inspection. No responses.

Methinks a scam.
