Text message from Qld Police asking for me to complete a survey about my phonecall with police a month or so ago. I checked the link they sent me with Google Safe Browsing and VirusTotal's free website security checker, and they both determined it safe. It had https in the URL, so I thought it should be secure. I clicked the link after that and it took me to a survey run by Enhance Research who were commissioned by the Queensland Police Service. The QPS website also mentions this survey.

I got an SMS today asking me to take a short survey to help improve QLD Police services. Web address for the survey is definitely suspect - https://nxt.to/2N8TEHa. Says to TXT STOP to opt out - as if I would.

Text talks about a survey to help improve police services. Mentioned a situation where we had been involved with the police earlier this year, but I don't trust the link - doesn't look legit. Also, 'services' is written in capitals which is weird.

Text message with strange website requesting feedback for a police service saying I'd contacted police on a certain date. I NEVER CONTACTED POLICE THAT DAY or recently. It was a day however, after I'd had intruders in the yard the night before harassing me. I know that those people have my phone number - from stealing my mail previously. Have they quoted my phone number to police and then waited for me to respond to the feedback????

Missed call and voicemail to return call to Maleny Police except it was after they closed duh. Then a text regarding the contact I had with QPS in August 2020. Sure scam.

Fake unfortunately

Have had 2 separate msgs all saying Qld police BUT the links in each msg are different. Checked Qld police website and it says this is the number but being done via third party enhance something. The first msg was received a few hours after it was announced on the 6pm news that day 🧐I believe this number to be a scam. Lol’d at earlier post who stated they don’t even live in Qld but we’re sent a msg 🤦🏻‍♀️🤨
