It’s a number used by a business that does SMS contact for medical practitioners. Hence, when a patient gives a wrong number, or a medical centre enters it incorrectly, a “weird” medical message goes to a random person.

We got a confirmation of our appointment with one doctor, so we added this number to that doctors contact details. Then we got a confirmation of an appointment with a different doctor, which confused us until we worked out that it was a shared service! In both cases the information was valid.

I’d previously received messages for my own appointments from 2 separate specialists that come from this number 0417 661 811 - now receiving messages addressed to the incorrect recipient from a specialist I haven’t consulted with. So presuming they entered incorrect mobile number that belongs to me for this recipient.

Just got a text message from this number that only says "YES" and that's it.

No. Number on my messages. decided to check before ringing.

text message Asking to register my personal details for "the infusion clinic" but the number is different for the real clinic. I have no connection to any clinic.

Request for payment and signed financial consent. Also details regarding medical procedure.

Definately a scam.
