Debt collectors. If they’re calling you it’s because they bought your debt from whichever company you owed money to and weren’t paying.. they add a fee on top of the debt & offer you a chance to make a payment arrangement to avoid a default on your credit file.

In regards to other responses for this number.. hanging up because they ask your date of birth etc? They do that to verify that they are speaking to the correct person, so they don’t discuss private financial information with someone else. That’s pretty basic privacy laws.
They are as irritating to me as anyone else, but they are not scammers.. they are trying to collect on money you owed for electricity, or a phone bill.. whatever the debt was. They bought it from the company you owed it to, so you now owe it to them. Simple.
If you don’t want defaults on your credit file, answer. If you don’t care, ignore them! Bad debts on your credit file are wiped after 7 years.. your choice!

Just got a call from them looking for someone else so just cause they have your number does not mean it relates to you , therefore you telling people to answer or get a bad credit rating is not helpful

This number called 4 times one after the other. No message left. BLOCK this number. If you cant leave a message then it isn't important.
