Pretending that my electricity bill was late and I had to pay for them not to cut power.

Ringing to discuss electricity pricing, goodbye to him.

Called me and said this is from power bill . Do you pay the bill ?
And I said if I don’t pay the bill how can I still use the electricity ? dumbass ..
and they cut it off 😂

Scam about electricity bills, which is odd as my name not on the bill.

Stupid Indian woman called and asked about energy bill, asked her to fcuk off and she said you too. Haha

Claiming to be a power company, asking if I had received any information about the electricity rates and their deals. Definitely a scam.

Hung up after answered, guessing a scam

Someone foreign claiming their name is Kevin from an electricity company, also claiming I had an issue with my account, I don't have an electricity account with anyone as it is in my partners name

This number called me today. I'm just wondering where they have got my number from? I'm not answering the call as I don't know them. In fact, I've been receiving a few calls from numbers I don't recognize over the last few days & normally the "Do not Call Register" picks them up as SPAM. The only thing I can think of is I've entered an Online (or you can scan the QR code) competition run by one of the largest Supermarkets in Australia hosted on our TV station. I better read the Terms & Conditions of entry, as part of them may be sharing our details with Telemarketers to call you! Sounds like I've been sucked in!!

Some sort of scam I presume. When I called back it said Your call couldn't be connected. Please check the number.

A foreign call centre trying to get information out of you under the guise of helping you find a better deal on your power and gas, I just hung up.

Poor little scammer in his India-based call centre.

Called the number & "Optus advises this number is disconnected"

A girl with a Filipina sounding accent called. She asked for me by name. When i said it was me, she giggled then hung up. Very weird.

Caller: Power supply company

Wanted to discuss my energy bill, had my name from somewhere. I Said thankyou for calling but I’m not interested. “Don’t you want to know why I called?” I again said, I appreciate you ringing but I’m not interested, thanks
bye. That was it. I think I even got an “ok thankyou bye” from these scammers. So sick of these cold callers using Australian mobile numbers. Why isn’t there any law to stop this in Australia.

Asian man claiming he was from a poor company, he didn't even say my last right, he added extra letters into it. I politely told him where to go and hung up.
