Message only on phone stating have a photo of me on video and that to view it had to go to a link provided on internet, I block this caller

Interesting to read the above, because I just got an SMS from this number claiming to be a courier whose delivery I missed (I hadn't ordered anything to come to my house, and I have a local post office box). Must have just started ramping up their scam comms and trying everything.

Scam SMS 'Is this you?' with a dodgy link to click.

This number sent an sms saying they were unable to deliver a package and attached a link. Obviously a scammer. Now blocked. I received and blocked so many sms from various numbers this year. Scammers are working tirelessly and around the clock. I don't know how they acquired so many numbers to use in Australia. Do they work with service providers to get an Australian mobile number? One cp number was from Singtel/Optus. Optus is a Singaporean provider

Obviously SCAM - how are they able to keep using this number without being traced by authorities
