Company called claiming to be The Bush Fire Relief Fund. Said they had our advertisement in for printing and would send the invoice tomorrow for $500. Claimed they called last October and we approved it over the phone. When asked if they had sent email confirmation they stated they did that all over the phone. Person sounded professional, when challenged continuously and told that we considered the call to be dodgy they said "whatever" and hung up.

Just had a call on this number from a well spoken lady, said she was from Volunteer Service Magazine.
About an ad I agreed to place with them on OCT 09 2018. Said I owed around $500.
When I said I don't think so, the price dropped down to around $300.
Asked if they had emailed me something, and she said it was arranged over the phone.
I said no, did not agree to this, and hung up. Also blocked number.

Was told I had authorized advertising I a Bush Fire Magazine. Not the case. They wanted over $500. Told them it hadn't and I wouldn't be advertising.

She was very well spoken. Said my advert for Bush Fire Magazine was ready. After not budging she said she needed to talk to her manager to see what's going on and will call back.

I have received a call from same number 0412 409 226. She said she's from Occupational and Safety. Same thing, wanted to know my address to send out the magazine I have committed 3 months ago. I am certain that I did not commit to anything for the last 6 months. When I asked for reference, she was not able to provide and said it was just a verbal commitment. No email, they did not record the phone,.. She was going to send the invoice for advertising as well - over $500 for a quarter page ad. I am certain that I have not commit to her magazine. She said she will check with her manager and get back to me. Scam.

never advertised with them before she said since i agreed to advertise in the ambulance magazine that i had also agreed to advertise in that one.Ummm NO

Wanted to know my address to send out the magazine I have advertised in. I did not advertise my business with this organisation (Bush Fire Brigade). I told her that I had advertised with another organisation and she said that I had agreed to this advertising at the same time (I did not). She was going to send the invoice for advertising as well - over $500 for a quarter page ad. (Not mine). She said she will check with her manager and get back to me. Not my advertising - scam.
