This number hacked into my gmail. This guy (Indian) called up and said he was from Bling and they were doing some kind of advertising for some properties done by Indian developers this weekend at the Melbourne Convention Centre. He asked two questions: read out my email address and asked if it was the right one (which he clearly had), then asked which day I would prefer to attend the presentation. Apparently per the MCEC website in the 'What's On' page there's nothing on this weekend matching the description. Not really sure what he got out of the call other than some marketing feedback for a show that's not even happening. Also no idea where he found the email but it seemed he already knew everything he knew the 'personal details' prior to cold calling. If this guy is a hacker it's the sh*ttiest hacking attempt I've ever seen. Either way if you get something similar and you're scared they're going to hack you, maybe fire your phone number and email through a google search to see what turns up and maybe hide any personal details. How dare this number be in numerical order? I am very upset and angry.... This number was pre-filled into an on-line form which I had to complete to re-install Windows 10. Lucky I noticed it and removed it. Wouldn't you like to get them in a quiet and dark lane and give them what they really deserve! This number was already in my phone autofilling, despite me having a completely different number, and in particular appears when I start up the UBER app. Uber brings up a message that this phone Account is "disabled", so I have never been able to use Uber. I assumed it was the phone number of the previous owner of the phone which I purchased from Cash Converters and they sent down from Sydney earlier in 2017. Today the number appeared in Uber and I pressed "enter" and it sent off a code to whoever has that number. Oops. Honest mistake. I will delete Uber app because I cannot use it. Keep calling but if i answer, it hangs up straight away. Missed calls. This number was auto filled when i went to buy seats on sa2.seatadvisor.com to buy tickets for my sons graduation. Venue is UWA. Caller: Hacked me trying to transfer my business page & sell or steal url
I would suggest people go to this ( above site ) and file formal complaints re this number as their email is a optus.com.au ....
No point not putting a stop to this type of abuse ( or any abuse ) as that does not help other people avoid the horrible place the abuser put YOU In.
This psycho has hacked into my domains and tried to trans a Sydney one. They have a optus.com.au email and are In Burwood east Victoria ( or that kind of area )
You will find this is one of the insane 1900 managers who thinks she is smart but needs to steal and destroy as she has NFI on anything bar criminal activity, drugs and bitterness of failure!!
This No. auto filled in updated Microsoft account where you can put your phone number in so your phone and PC CAN LINK UP when they sent a link to your phone or email address. Now cannot delete this phone No. How do I delete? Caller: 0412 345 678
This piece of sh*t hacked my Uber and gmail account.
Blocked, another scam. Time wasters. Caller: Indian Female
This is the same call I received just 20 minutes ago, from this very number. claiming to be from "Bling". After I attempted to extract the location information of the "property investment" event in bella vista from them they read out some seemingly random numbers ("24-22 c67 bella vista"??) said they would "send it in the mail", obviously I never gave them my address but informed them that I was on the DNCR and also informed them of the potentially massive fines coming their way If they were reported.
No answer on pick up. Wouldnt you just love to get in the ring (to be polite) with these drongos and give them a good ole 'what for' smackdown.
Anyway tap "block the caller" on your phone and then delete call in 'recents'.
Also watch out for the "Team Viewer 13" 'injectable trojan' or whatever they call those viruses.
It got me a beauty, took over the PC, the wallpaper changed several times, controlled the mouse and who knows what else. I tried system restore several times to no avail. Deleted TV13. Used Malwarebytes. Seems ok now but you never know i suppose.
Goood luck with those SOB's.
Caller: Supposed Training Session for a "Program"
A man with a slighty Indian accent rang our business, and asked to speak with the HR manager about some training program, and stated that he wanted to book in an appointment as soon as possible. I questioned him further, and he refused to tell me more. I lied and said that the HR manager was out, and offered to take a number to get them to call back. He refused and asked if they were in tomorrow. Said he'd call back. If he does, I will come back here with an update.
On a side note, just seems odd to me. Looking at these other comments, looks like it's most likely a scam.
This was an overseas call. A man called my office asking if he could speak to a certain person and couldn't say the person's name correctly so after trying to understand who he was trying to contact and getting no where, I tried to understand what the call was in regards to and he hung up... When I was signing up for Couchsurfing Account, this number was there as default settings Man with Indian accent has called our business line several times, with the correct name of our HR manager. Says the call is urgent and if we don't book in the training session with his company that we will miss out. Gets very aggressive when you try to dismiss him. I imagine he eventually tries to get other details out of you to try and scam/hack. The number 0412 345 678 (Australia) was inserted into my contacts list on my mobile phone as the preferred mobile no. for my partner and replaced my real phone number as the primary contact number for a credit card of mine. Anyone have any idea what to do?
