Same as other messages. Responded to an item I have on Gumtree. She's in Bathurst. She'll have Auspost movers pick it up. Thanks to all this feedback I have read I have blocked her number.

Thank you to all for posting here. Had the same experience. Listed something on Gumtree and got an almost instant WhatsApp message. Wanted to buy but requested to use Auspost Couriers because she lived in Bathurst.

Claims to be in Bathurst and wants to buy an item I have listed on Gumtree… AusPost movers will pick it up. “She” pays and I go to this (pseudo) website she gives to receive payment.. amazed that these scammers have no creativity and repeat the same details for many targets.

They are at it again today. Same dodgy copy cat website.

Same as all the others - via Gumtree, fake courier, even sent fake website with fake ‘gumtree delivery’ URL. Fair bit of care taken to make it look legit. Disappeared when I suggested it seemed like a scam when the link provided requested login details for my online banking!

As experienced like the others here, whatsapp message responding to gumtree add and profile shows as Linda Haynes saying Auspost Movers will pick it up and pay me.

Scam! Reported.

And another scamming attempt from this person/number, responding via whats app, in similar stile as described above.. thanks for the warning.

Received whatsapp Message from Linda Hayes today responding to my Gumtree ad with the same spiel. I don’t trust it and have Stopped responding back to her. And also reported and blocked it.

Gumtree scammer. Attempts to send “Auspost Movers” (not a thing) and sends a fake website, and will “pay through gumtree, then you can get the money from them” (also not a thing). Block and delete.

Linda replied to my gumtree ad via WhatsApp. I’m located in Perth, WA.. and she is apparently in Bathurst, NSW. Sounded suspicious so I told her that I’m sure there is one available closer to her

Same as previous person, responded via whatsapp and said something about wanting the device and doing it via australia post. Basically i'm sure it would end up being a SCAM.
