Caller: scammer Scam Phishing Text.
Claiming to be from Indeed (recruitment) yet Indeeds website indicates that they do not cold call/message. https://support.indeed.com/hc/en-au/articles/28360944766221-Text-Messages-or-Phone-Calls-Claiming-To-Be-Indeed-It-Might-Be-a-Scam Contact from indeed is only made through their offical app (according to their website). I am not registered with Indeed.
Text came from 0412 037 081 (and +63 912 289 0922, and +63 999 335 3195):
Text reads: “Hello, sorry to bother you! I’m Freya from Indeed. Your resume has been recommended by multiple online recruitment agencies, so we would like to offer you an online remote job. You can earn 70-300 Australian dollars per day, work 60-90 minutes per day to complete the work, at the time and place of your choice (payment on the same day). But please note: (You must be 22 years old or older). If you meet the requirements and want to learn more, please answer “yes” or “no”.
- Message and caller deleted reported via iPhone. - Reporting here on ReverseAustralia and will report on ScamWatch too.
Don’t fall for it! Do not provide any personal information! Do not contact them in anyway. Likely to be a phishing scam (trying to get your personal details and/or personal bank details in a plausible disguise of paying your for “gig” work). They are scammers posing as an ‘employer’ here in their message above.
