I have had the same message today from a Kathy Smith <macsmith202 @ gmail.com> same details saying she is away at sea going to report and send to federal police.

I just got a text from this number asking me " do you still have the gumtree furniture, kindly reply to dorom088 @ gmail.com pls no text.

i thought it was strange so i goggled the number and this is what came up! thank you. i won't be fooled

same scam stuff as others email = charlesta007 @ gmail.com the phone companys need to get together and turn off service to these scumbags, sick of it

Got the same thing. sent me a text about a coach on gumtree said to email not text and got the whole story about new zealand oil and gas. thought it was dodgy. glad i checked.

I received the same message (after I had replied by email to the scam sms). My sender was "Kathy Smith".
I have reported to gumtree.com.

Message to fellow honest people: be a bit suspicious of very quick replies to gumtree adverts.

Got a text from this number via gumtree today, responded by text saying I don't trust email email given was dorom88 @ gmail.com . Get this idiot!

I received the same message today from this number regarding my gumtree add. Definitely had a feeling it was a scam because his message was so into detail, too much into detail. He also said he worked offshore NZ. The name was David Green. SCAMMER!!

Got an SMS from 0409 793 748. regarding my Gumtree ad for a bed. Asked me to reply to janet4jesus06 @ gmail.com "Please no Text Messages". Clearly a scam based on the posts from this site. Thanks team!

Just had a text come through asking to email him and not thinking I did.
For email address: golemetz2003 @ gmail.com and a David Green.
It was very detailed in fact to much so and that's what put me off and made me Google him number. He was going on about working offshore in NZ and had no phone access, yet I got a text message!!?

Just got a txt from this number. I was stupid enough to answer via email. I have since marked his email address as scam and blocked his phone number after reading this. I was a little silly not to check first as I was a little suspect. So mad can't people just be honest grrrr

Just got a text from this number in regards to a gumtree ad, I was asked to reply to email acc. macsmith202 @ gmail.com. I'm not responding as I think its a scam.

got a text from him about an add on ebay, he was selling a Nissan Patrol. best i could trace the number to was to his facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/jignesh.shah.9210?__mref=message_bubble some indian guy from melbourne.

This person asked me about a furniture I posted in gumtree and said "no text plz" and gave me a gmail account!

Received a txt today with message "As hosts are often busy during December we are booking hosts for our January groups for MQ Uni now - pls check your email for further details (sent last Friday) and book asap!"

No idea what it is. No email in the mail box.

Yup - Scammer. Text in response to gumtree ad asking for details to be sent to gmail email address and "no text plz".

Just had someone msg me asking for me email as the one I had provided ( I've never provided one) had bounced. What's weird is she used my work as he place of work and I know we don't have anyone with that name that works for us
