It is a scam to get you to reply so they know it’s a real number.

Tried with me with ... Hey .. looking for Bec ...called 'himself' Daniel ... had few sms exchanges to work out what was going on ... now blocked...

thank god i search this number on google

he message me started with "hey 👋"
and looking for the Bec, exactly same as above.

Same as all the rest. A guy called Daniel pretending to be looking for a dude called Steve Reynolds looking to finish his yard, we had some chats, he is a respectful guy, just bored and looking for some sex chats. Not scammer just catfishing I think

Just received a text message with a waving emoji and "Hey". I run a small business so I looked up the name that Optus said was associated with the number. It's in SA and I'm in Qld. Googled the mobile no and saw all these messages. Will block and delete. Glad i didn't answer before i checked.

Some idiot who thinks I am going to respond to a HEY message. Thought, it's either a scammer or someone who thinks they are so important to me that I would already have their name in my contacts list. By the looks of the comments here - Def a Scammer. Number Blocked. Get a life IDIOT!!

Just got a text saying boo. The scammer said it’s Daniel and was looking for bec. So frustrated I replied as my brothers name is Daniel.

Got the same “beep beep” message. When I asked who is this he said “Daniel”. I told him he has the wrong number and he replied “Bec”? I told him no and my name and a very lengthy message exchange began after he said “hi and used my name”. I was having a bad day so thought it was a bit of a lift for the day. I decided to Google his number and was shocked to see similar complaints and all recent. I’ve blocked him immediately.

Just got the following message 👋 beep beep. Nothing else. Just a waving emoji and the words beep beep. Blocked the no.

I received a text message saying beep beep I put an ad up earlier today on gumtree so feel like it is from that ad as I’ve had WhatsApp scammers through gumtree as well.

Caller: Said his name is Daniel

I got a text message today saying “ Hey 👋 hope you have had a great start to the year so far? Any chance we can catch up soon to finalise my yard? Be good to get sorted soon 👍
I replied, that I think you have the wrong number. He said “Steve, Reynolds?” I said no. He apologised then asked if I do landscaping at all. I said no.
I then googled his number & found all these reports about it. Hence mine now.

Same message as everyone else but I had a very lengthy conversation. When it was over i googled the number and saw the comments. It had been blocked. Why Why Why

Got a message in Feb last year saying 'Hey just letting u know that I got my yard finished today. Your guys can come in any time from now on'. I replied saying it was a wrong number and they gave a name 'Steve' and when I said nope, they said sorry. After thatI kept getting a message once a month a few times then it stopped. Suddenly, at 11pm at night I got a text again from this number saying 'Hey hope u had a great start to the new year? Can we try to catch up soon as I really want to get my yard finished before the end of Jan'... Whoever this person is, is constantly checking to see if the number is still active and is quite annoying though always uses their garden as an excuse to message. Do not reply!
