I had asked for a quote but they were to busy and said I would have to wait at least 4 weeks just for the quote

I had asked for a quote but he had a 2 week wait, everyone else said they could do it straight away

Saying about a quote didn’t even ask for one

I wanted a quote but Robert said he was to busy to take on anymore work for a couple of months.
It’s a shame there is only one company doing this surface

We received a quote from Robert Balfour from Statewide Bitumen Pty. Ltd. in March 2017 for the repair of our drive way. The quote was for 7mm bitumen spray seal surface incl. repair of dips and cracks, with 5 year written warranty.
The work was carried out in April, 2017, but the dips and cracks were not repaired. The bitumen spray seal was only 1 mm (not 7 mm) and on top there was 6 mm gravel.

After 3 months and some heavy rain the gravel was washed off and this revealed a strip of approx. 80 mm wide where there was no bitumen at all; other parts had bitumen
but the gravel did not stick to it.
We complained to Robert Balfour and he promised to come and inspect the work. After repeated phone calls and complaints Rob finally turned up in December 2018 and he agreed to redo the job at the next occasion.

During 2019 various messages were sent to his phone. He never answered the phone; only when I called from a different phone, as he did not recognize the number.
Finally, at the beginning of December, 2019 Robert Balfour agreed to do the repair work and we agreed on the date: Monday, 13/1/20.
Robert Balfour did not turn up on the agreed date nor did he send a message as to why he did not show up .
A phone enquiry and an email were sent to Robert Balfour requesting to know when he was going to do the work and giving him time until the end of that week;
e.g. 17.1.20. No reply or any other contact was received from Robert Balfour since then.
