I activated an additional SIM card to use a special one month-long offer for new customers just to get connected to affordable mobile broadband. I have not given this number to anyone. One fine day I received a call from 0403 698 930 and a native English speaker tried to sell me life insurance and I said sorry, not interested at all, have a good day, bye-bye. The good thing is they haven't called any more since then. I still have no idea where they got my number from.
If you call 0403 698 930 outside their working hours the recorded voice will promise to answer as soon as possible and will offer an option to opt out from future call. They say you can either send an email to contact @ australiancontactcentre.com.au with your number in the subject line or alternatively go to australiancontactcentre.com.au. I've just been to their website -> 'Remove My Number' and submitted my number there.
You have never had to search for business have you. Your statement shows me that you are (a) not a business owner or (b) not a successful business owner. A simple, "no thank you, im not interested" is much easier than losing your sh*t at the poor person on the other end of the phone trying to earn way for his family. I thought those telemarketing normally calling from a landline and that’s why I picked up the call which is calling from a mobile number. The lady said she is calling from Australia contact centre and she wants to talk about life insurance & funeral insurance. I was so confused at very beginning then I heard funeral insurance.... then she asked how old I was, i think this is an insulting as this is not a comfortable conversation, and I don’t want to be forced to answer any of those questions. This call totally ruined my happy morning.... Australian Contact Centre calling about if I've considered life insurance or income protection. Asked me if I was interested in life insurance . Then states oh you do sound young . Asked how old I was . I told her I don't appreciate your questions and where did you get my number from . Then she hurriedly said have a nice day ... And hung up .. Sounds like a scam missed a call from 0403 698 930, on callback I got a message about a contact centre. The message then went on about being important to then and will be answered as soon as possible. I did not wait to find out any more as Its an unsolicited call. ahole Yep same as every body else tela marketing and they know it's against the law how come they don't get charged by the police ah ?
