Got this message today. Scam text from 0474 379 219 telling me to contact my offspring using 0403 666 897, which is a know scam number. “ Hey Mum, good afternoon. please get back to me on 0403666897 once you read this. I ve switched my SIM and I m using a friend s phone.”

I received an SMS from 0473 655 819 stating: "Hi Mum, good afternoon, can you message me on 0403 666 897 when you see this? I had to change my SIM and I m borrowing a mate s to send this." I don't have any children. It is a scam.

Caller: Pretended to be my daughter Scammer wrote - "Hey dad, please get back to me on 0403 666 897 after you read this. I had to swap my SIM card, I m [sic] using a friend s [sic]".
