Got a call, answered it and it was dead silent. Called back and was given a message about how it was Dunn & Bradstreet. Anybody could have pre-recorded the message with some hold music and then pretend to be a operator dropping in after a delay. I questioned if this number was on their website to confirm this was actually Dunn & Bradstreet, and the individual at the other end of the line claimed it wasn't listed on the website. I requested they no longer call using a consumer mobile number and advised in future I would also not accept any private calls. If any bank calls me it is usually displayed with a number that can be verified. I highly doubt Dunn & Bradstreet who are meant to be a large organization would use a plain mobile number to call anybody. If anything it would be private at worst. I'm marking this as a scam till D&B can put the number on their website to prove it is them.

Just called me today to demand information. I said I refuse unless they tell me what it is about. They said it was about a client who put my name down. Said I don't have time and refuse to talk. They said I ought to call them back when I have time. Reeks of dodgy, my friends.

They are debt collectors for a pathology/medical bills.

I didn't even know I owed money as I thought my blood test was covered under Medicare. No one ever sent me a bill. I owed $38 for a blood test and they were very mean.

I miss a call from 0402 899 848 today. I called it back , it was from Dun & Bradstreer . An English speaking lady picked up the phone and I told her id missed a call from this number. She asked for my mobile number and when she looked it up she asked me if I knew a Leigh? of course I did not so she said they would remove my number from the contact details. Don't know if they are a scam but I have received texts also from them saying Leigh has an outstanding debt to pay, which is of course not me. I have blocked this mobile number . it is not the first mobile number that I have received a call from saying they are Dun & Bradstreer ! just be wary!....

This number called today requesting to speak to my partner stated they were dun and Bradstreet when I advised they had called incorrect number they told me to hang up the phone now.i have contacted d&b who have stated this is no them and never has been I have reported to police so if anyone receives this call it is a scam do not provide any information as

Is it a scam? Or legitimate? I have no idea but they ask for all my personal details straight up and I just refused and hung up on them!

Referred himself as a representative of D & B (i assume Dunn & Bradstreet) wanted to speak to the director of my past company. told him you are speaking to her. he asked to confirm my name. I said you should already have that information if you are calling me. i refused to disclose my name unless he tells me what this about. He refused to tell me. then hung up. When i rang back the above number it goes to a recorded message.

They called twice now. Asked for Ben, that's not me and threatened that if Ben didn't call them back quoting a reference they would be forced to take action.
Good luck to whomever these scammers are.

Asked for a 'Peter'. My Dad's name is Peter but they wouldn't say where they were calling from, how they got my number or even confirm the surname of the Peter they were looking for.
