Caller: Some looser from Aussie Protect

Called by some backpacker with a british accent who said she was calling about my private health insurance, told her I didn't need private health insurance because I was already dead and had to go as I was about to play tennis with biggie & tupac.

I called back number 0402 582 790 reached IVR for a company called Aussie Protect.

Call centre crap. Spam.

Wanted to talk about my private health insurance policy, I answered yep and what policy is that? she said I dont know but I bet you are upset about the premium increase, and I said how much was it, she said she doesnt know either, so I asked how che can help if she doesnt know anything then she hung up...haha

Another bloody foreigner calling.Couldnt handle a federal police officer (ME) :)Told them I was from AFP.

I answered The person said nothing, held on for a few seconds then put down the phone

Caller: Male claiming to be from the Taxation Department

Same number as above claiming tht there was a problem with a tax file number!!!! WHY OH WHY CANT OUR GOVERNMENT BODY DOO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE BLOODY SPAMMY CALLS AND TOTALLY BLOCK THEM OR SOMEHOW CREATE A FIREWALL THAT GOES DIRECTLY BACK TO THEM WITH A SEVERE FINE???????

answered the call, and the person on the other end was quiet for about 10 seconds, then they hung up. I've been getting a lot of calls from Aussie Protect lately. I keep blocking their new number, but they keep calling from a new one each time.

I called back number 0402 582 790 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

Asked me if I had health insurance. I asked the caller as to how much insurance I could get. I told them that I was 89 and had terminal cancer. They hung up on me! Rude bastards!

Caller: Telemarketers related to Aussie Protect and I-Select

Only 16 July, I received a phone call from 0403 209 662 which I answered 0402 582 790 and the lady caller identified a relationship to the Insurance Agency I-Select. I told her that I was not interested in changing my insurance with Medibank Private. On 17 July, I received three (3) phone calls at hourly intervals, which I did not answer, once from 0402582790 and twice from 0403209662. Thereafter, I received phone calls from 0402 258 367 (18 July), 0411 181 632 (19th and 20th July); and 0402582790 (today 22 July). Having checked online, the above mentioned mobile phone numbers relate to Telemarketers and mainly Aussie Protect. I have advised Aussie Protect to remove my mobile phone number from future telemarketing. I shall lodge a complaint with the Consumer Protection should Aussie Protect continue to pester me.

Called, I answered and nothing was said in their end, silence for 1 min and then they hung up.

It was a “Aussie Protect” worker call about my health insurance what I don’t have. Knew it was a scam. Even tried call it back to get a name kept getting. Hung up on.
