Caller: Amazon SCAM Scammers pretending to be Amazon are connecting calls via randomised Australian phone numbers. This number 0402 429 363 may be someone's personal mobile number, so I find it's best to not block the number unless you are receiving multiple scam calls from the same number.
The call is automated and mentions an overdue balance or unconfirmed payment, press 1 to speak with an operator, where I suspect the person on the other line will attempt to get your indentity information and financial access.
Don't pick up calls you aren't expecting is a general warning, let your calls go to voicemail and/or call the number back later. It usually rings out and goes to a voicemail. On the off chance someone picks up the call, just say you missed a call from this number 0402 429 363 and if they say it wasn't them, end the call (or let them know their number is being used for randomised Amazon Scam calls) and move on.
Sometimes Amazon collect information on scams, but to my knowledge this issue has only become worse.
