A text message from 0400 180 499 asking confirmation or cancellation medical appointment.

Not Doctor's usual phone number. Is this some kind of automatic SMS message service for Drs?

Text message, unpunctuated - "you are due for you are due for" 40 or 50 times.
Looks like HotDoc may have been hacked ?
Definitely a scam to get you to call the number

Genuine SMS to confirm medical appointment - I rang the landline number of Dr. Davidson's practice in Warrnambool, (03) 5561 6038, and they confirmed that 0400 190 499 was one of their mobile numbers!
