I answered this call and the Indian lady was trying to tell me I can save up to 50% every year. So if I have a home loan, car loan etc I can save on that.
The information she was going to provide me was all free of charge and I could take it to my accountant to look over.

Honestly though, I could understand her fine, but I had absolutely no idea what she was trying to sell (not sell!) me.. When I told her this she couldn't explain, it was like she could only stick to the script.

She was polite though, but did know my full name.

I did try calling the number back after hanging up (just to see who the company was), but was advised that this number is disconnected.

Indian caller told me she was from Information management and wasn't trying to sell anything but was offering "something" (don't know what I'd switched off by then) to all working people in my suburb.... i hung up then

What does it take to stop these people in this country.
Everyone keeps telling us how much better it is.
We never used to have to put up with this stuff.
Do we need a war to stop them?

Lead generators for different financial firms, who give information on tax savings through superannuation, property etc.
Not sure where they get all your personal details from though.

What don't Telstra stop these scammers????

Answered a private number, heard a call centre, they hung up without speaking. A moment later this number called, rung once and stopped (wasn't going to answer)... Number blocked.

Always leave this to go to answer phone and always hear call centre in background but they never leave a message.
