I would class it as spam. Someone supposedly doing a survey "on behalf of our local council". Fat chance of that being for real. If it was, they would have used the Shire's name in full.

I get so many of these time-wasting calls every day. Now blocked.

Called at 8pm, hung up immediately after answering. Called for 20 seconds in the past, so I can only assume it was a spam call at best.

Person said they are doing a survey but said they were having technical problems and would have to call back later. Translated, this means hi, just wanted to get you to say a few words so we can record your voice and add it to some other personal data we already have on you. Eventually we'll sell it to someone who'll use it all to steal your identity.

Missed call, called back and their voicemail message identified the caller as Kantar Market Research. While Kantar is a legitimate business, whether this caller is or not is a different story.

I did not answer and when no message was left, I immediately blocked the number.. a few seconds later, the same number called my mobile. I declined the call. These scum bags need.to be stopped!

They rang whilst I was having my dinner, so I answered said they were doing a survey for our local Council, most likely a scam, as our Council has just done a survey in which they sent all residents across the Shire to answer and fill in
