Phoned back, received message that call could not be connected and to try again.
Phone said suspected spam

I missed the call. I rang back from an anonymous phone and there was no response - silence. Likely scam call playing a recorded computer voice for "ebay" or "amazon." I got a call yesterday from a very similar number.

Caller: Health fund comparison mob. Rude bloke when I challenged him.

(03) 9972 0212 rang twice today. 1st was at 1334hrs and 2nd at 1637hrs. iPhone tells me the call is from Sydenham, Victoria. I bit the bullet and answered the first call. Long pause then a bloke with a string Indian accent (yes Dorothy, I recognise the Indian accent after buying enough American-origin fast food)…My slang term for his ilk is akin to a strong condiment I use when cooking snags…….have a guess….). I challenged that caller as to which company he represented and why he was calling from that series 039972****. He became rather agitated that I displayed the apparent audacity to question him and ask ‘why was his mob continually calling’. Then he tried the typical male ‘kitchen condiment’ behaviour of raising his voice, talking over me. I’m the wrong black duck for circus employee types like him to use their call-centre tactics on. I upset him enough that he uttered some different language then HE terminated the call. I think I might have upset him.
Anyway, number blocked but that did SBA because someone at that number rang back later. And of course 1726hrs I got a call from a similar number (03) 9972 0215 but that was endorsed with a warning.
Let’s see if this comment gets posted as my other comments about 039972**** don’t seem to rate publication. Could it be that I’m too sarcastic or intolerant of overseas call centre employees? That reminds me, I might make some curry sausages for tea but I won’t have fries with that.

This number has called me a total of 7 times over a week. Leaves no message. Scam blocked
