Caller: Scammers parading as electricity retailer

These people parade as electricity retailers and ask for BOB. Calling from an Asian call centre and masking the number that appears on your phone. They are not ringing from this number as when it is dialled it connects to an answering machine that says the number is not connected. What a load of crap. They just add this on to make it sound authentic. This is an all out SCAM. Be very careful!! Just hang up.

I answered and the man started sweet talking me and asked if he could put his finger on my soft clitorous. I said yes and all of a sudden his finger comes through the phone and starts rubbing me like ive never felt before. I had such a great time now every day I wait by the phone and hope he calls back.

Caller: Claiming to be electricity compare company

Scam. Stated they were an electricity comparison company that I had previously used and then asked for my details. I commented that if they are a company I had used they should have that information. Their response that lots of people change their providers. I hung up luckily and didn't give any personal information.

Caller: Electricity & Gas

Lady called and said she was from Electricity & Gas and started by asking me if I still live in NSW.. I have never lived in NSW so this was a red flag for me. I said I don’t know what service she is talking about and she told me my email address and phone number and kept asking me questions. I told her I’m not giving her any of my personal information because of the fact that I do not live in NSW and I’ve never put my details online. She then ended the call quite abruptly. Obviously a scam 😡

Called claiming to be my electric company. Claiming to offer me a better deal. Asked my address and I said you should be aware off that. She then told me that she was from a cheaper energy company. I hung up.

received a call from (03) 9966 4877 on my work mobile - i didnt answer. i then called the number and got a recording telling me that the number is not in service. This is obviously a SCAM - block their number

I never answer a number I don’t know anymore. It’s a bad situation when it comes to that.

Another scam, about time the governments & telecommunications industry seriously did something about scammers, instead of wasting tax payer money, make some laws/legislations that protect citizens & stop letting telcos & scammers rip off & harrass coustomers, when people are hesitant to answer our phones to numbers we don't know, when theft of money or identities are rampant, then politicians aren't worth it to keep voting for, or worth keeping ties with counties & companies that enable scammers.
Privatization & competitiveness is proving to be a con in itself, especially when once we had one telco, Telstra (telecom or PMG as it was once know as) before its sellout privatization, thanks from nothing Johnny Howard, it wasn't the greatest but it was Australian owned & operated, since then scams have only increased, all to benefit interests of big companies, bottom feeders & scumbags alike, mobiles are almost awesome, if not for scammers, it's not just the Australian government to blame, a lot of other countries governments & people are as well, it's enough to want to make me sign up for the mission to Mars, where I'm sure if I had a phone signal I'd still get scammers calling

Called this number back and line is disconnected. Clearly a scam so try and not answer.

Caller: Upgrading Electricity

They have called me numerous times without leaving a message and when you try to call back it goes no where. Clearly a scam. I have answered without speaking just to see what the person would say and they want me to upgrade my electricity. Have now blocked them.
