Caller: Pretend national telephone

Asked if I'm ... my surname! I answered by askin him from what organization he is, he said from National telephone company ... said something about blocked numbers...

Someone called 'David' from this number conned my elderly mother into giving her bank card number over the phone saying he could screen calls. On her bank statement it says EZIpay PRISH PTY LTD Sydney AUS. This has been reported but she has been duped by 2 amounts - $125 and $153 respectively. Nasty manipulative scum preying on the vulnerable who cannot afford to throw away money like this!

Caller: An adult male who had my surname, saying he was from a national phone number blocking companying.

He quoted 'a large number of nuisance and scam calls that had been blocked by this service'. He listed several overseas countries that were the source of these calls. He noted some scam calls from Australian mobile numbers were not yet blocked. He claimed I had paid $60 on a particular date last year for this service and he would renew it with my approval.
I terminated the call. There had been no approval for such a service last year. The call was a scam.
