Caller: They said they were Medibank??

I was told they were medibank - he then requested my full name address and date of birth - I said I wouldnt give this information as I did not know who he was - he said fair enough and goodbye.

That number just called me & there was no one else at the other end. It was completely silent.

This was a callback - at my request from Medibank to review my policy. Legitimately Medibank.

I pick up the calls but stay silent to see if they would speak first. Silent on the other side for a good 30 seconds so figured it was a scam and hung up. I am a Medibank customer and seeing comments above, this may be an imitation of Medibank - they did get hacked after all so not surprised they have my number and details.

I answered a call from this number (03) 9862 1498, it was dead silent for 4 seconds, then a guy said he is from UBANK and can assist for my request for transferring. It sounds like a scam to me. He hang up after I repeatedly questioned him why he called.

They have been calling several times a day about my policy with Medibank. Funny thing is, I don't have a policy with Medibank.

Said they were from medibank, calling about my recent contact with them. Asked for name and dob and address before i could know more. Complete scam! Then said ok il send u an email for a direct line to call us back on.

My phone rang with this number for a few seconds but I didn't answer after seeing comments from others.

Called my mobile number twice and just called my office number and hung up as soon as I answered.
If you call back the number answered Medibank with menu options

Called again today but hung up when call screening started ( yesterday answered and said Medibank calling

Asked if I had time to go over my policy

Caller: I don’t know

I missed a call yesterday. Called again today and I picked up, silence from the other end
