When I phoned this number straight after i received a call from the number i got ,"optus advises that the number you dialled has been disconnected" Strange goings on. i have blocked the number from further calls

Be aware, this could be a Scam.

I got a call today saying "What are you going to do about your gas Bill?" I don't have gas at my residence. Definitely a scam call!

Leaves no message. Hangs up when answered.

Company claiming to be Called Energy Price Cutters. I searched ASIC and Google and couldn't find any companies with this name. The claiming to offer 40% discount on electricity. Be aware, this could be a Scam.

i answer and they hang up

I called the number back as I had two missed calls from them. Recorded message saying the number has been disconnected. Number now blocked.

Tried to make out they were my energy provider and said I was eligible for further discounts, then they asked was my provider AGL or who?
I advised them that I am happy with my provider, when I said I thought you were my provider, they hung up.
I did not tell them who my provider was.
