i missed a call from this number tried to ring it back from my office work number but it had an engaged signal. Tried a few times. Very strange especially since i'm an optus member as well so i wonder if it has sonething to do with that.

Rings frequently, never answered.More than likely a scam.

I got a call from this number asking about an AWD GTR Skyline that i built and if it was for real.Dont know why anyone would think its not...

I've received a number of calls from (02) 8114 3800 and today my first from (03) 9838 2018. Decided to google it and ended up here.. I'm with optus (not prepaid) if that helps anyone figure out whats going on.

Sounds dodgy. Judging by the mixed reports here it may be a voip gateway or something that a number of companies use? Just a thought.

I've had three calls this week from numbers that aren't in my phonebook, (03) 9838 2018, (03) 9937 7800 and just this morning (02) 8114 3800. Decided today after missing the third one that I would google to find out what's going on. From what I've read it seems like they're all dodgy companies claiming to be calling on behalf of Optus.I'm on Optus prepaid and it sounds to me like they've been giving away my personal details.
