Scam call from guy with English accent, reporting to be from ANZ. Told me my credit card had been hacked. Attempted three payments on my card while I was on the line. All declined. Call number looked like ANZ customer number so I answered. Called himself Mark Jacobs!

He asked if I made the purchase to which I said yes then he started swearing. I knew it was a scam cuz I don't have any credit card. Hope police will get him soon. He is a shame to Chinese people

Caller: ANZ Cards I've had my phone number for 18 months. From day one, I have received SMS messages from ANZ Cards claiming I have insufficient funds in my ANZ account. I don't have an ANZ account. That's how I knew it was a scam. I have received the same SMS message every week for 18 months, so clearly it is a BOT.
I'd like to report it officially to SCAMWATCH, but they want too many personal details (which will no doubt end up on their database, which will no doubt end up being hacked one day). I'm feeling tired and helpless, but also angry that our government and the international community has not done something to effectively stop them.

Caller: Scammers They send messages that seem to be coming from ANZ. End game: to get you to transfer money from your account to one they send that supposedly is set up with your name.
Do not speak with them. If in doubt call ANZ main number instead.

Caller: A Scammer A Taiwanese guy called and said I have a large transaction with the ANZ card. I checked online and noticed if you google the number it does show an ANZ branch. I think police should really check this number, as it can trap lots of people.

Caller: I don't know They claim to be ANZ but they aren't. Man I feel so stupid that I got lead so far down the garden path with this one but they knew all my info (email, home address etc) and their number appears in Google as a number that is used by ANZ, but they must ghost-use it or something. Anyway, I got cold feet and hung up, cancelled my card etc. but far out I thought I was savvy to this stuff, turns out I'm not.

Caller: Amanda Just left a message - "It's Amanda. Call me back. It's urgent." Background sounds like a call centre. She had an Australian accent. Did not identify as being from ANZ but I guess Amanda is hoping I am stupid enough to call back and give her my banking details. These people need to get a real job.
