I received a call from an east asian call centre claiming they are from AGL. tried to get my email address and asked a couple of strange questions that AGL wouldn't ask. Her ears would have been ringing after what I had to say.

Keep on calling me and leave no messages and asking to confirm my details. When I tell them that I will call back they told me to call back in the same number and the call was disconnected before he finishes talking

Another scam call. Answered no one responded. Just wanted to see if my number is active

When I answered this call, I got a recorded message saying all the operators were busy, please hold.
I suspect it is AGL and their outsourced harassment staff.

Have received two called from this number and have left no voice message

I had actually telephoned AGL earlier that day to resolve an account issue. This call was mard broken English and unexpected noises in the background for a call centre and the caller did not announce who they were and there was a prolonged international time gap. AGL will generally send a text message and offer to transfer funds if you have paid into the wrong AGL account on paying a bill.
I simply said I had called AGL that morning and she instantly hung up, similar to the tax scammers.

Offered cheap NBN. Asked what I was currently paying and what speed NBN was giving. I told him I had now idea on both but was very happy with what I have. . Trouble is he knew my first name because it was on my not home message. Will be changing message and not saying my name. Blocked number.

From the previous comments assume this is Agl. I pay my bills 3weeks late and get calls from this number that I never answer and they never leave a text or message. The calls stop when the bill is paid. They have cheek phoning 2days after the bill is due.

Caller claimed to be AGL but in 4 years with them, I have never had a call like this. The line was terrible and they didn't initially reply when I answered. She asked for me by name and named my suburb. She ended up saying she was going to disconnect the call.

So bizarre.

Just received a call from a lady from this number with broken English saying she was from AGL and that it was about my bill. I do have an account with AGL but asked me to confirm loads of personal details. I said I wouldn't give here any details and she quickly said ok we'll notify you about your bill via email and hung up on me. DEFINITELY A SCAM.

I answered, but waited to hear someone speak so I hung up. Then looked up the number because I'm a millennial. If it is AGL, then I am aware I need to pay my bill.

Male with fractured English claimed to be from AGL, Wanted me to confirm my identity by giving name, dob, email address etc. Asked why he was calling but he kept insisting I identify myself. He stated he had all my details. When I told him I was tired and a bit cranky he hung up. Did not give any details to him.

Asked to confirm surname and date of Birth. I refused to give details. They then hung up.

Same, same, same, bloody scammers. Calls at least twice a day, say they from AGL and wants to confirm my account status. Who does that? Scammers. Haven’t blocked number yet, might play trick on them haha.

AGL needs to get this phishing scams fixed. This dodgy man keeps calling my number at least twice a day. I never answer and no message is ever left so it’s not really from AGL. Block this number

I receive a phone call from this scammer twice a day. He either leaves no message or claims to be from AGL on a recorded message. I have never had an account with AGL.

After reading all the comments seems to be AGL, I do not have an AGL Account, So just more scam calls

After 10 calls a day from this number with no message ever being left. I finally spoke to someone claiming from AGL.
Wanting personal information to verify ID.
Gave them only partial answers to not reveal true identification.
They got angry and wouldn’t accept the mega long gas account number which I had been able to look up whilst I was stalling! As owner of the gas account.
Highly suspicious!

Annoying phone calls when you are busy, they never leave a message.
Once answered to speak to someone with broken machine gun English. Who then wanted all personal identifying details without identifying themselves. I asked for some info that they had of mine…. They said I had an email ending with “.com”. Hmm that helped to narrow things down!
