Caller: Supposedly AGL

PROCEED WITH CAUTION - I think this is a scam. Called the number back and it answers as AGL Direct. Presented like they were aligned to AGL the power supplier and the consultant tried to promote a ‘free sim card’ with free calls - I cut her off and told her I wasn’t interested then she tried to promote AGL NBN Internet. Dodgy sales practices and I very much doubt they are aligned to Australian energy company AGL - PROCEED WITH CAUTION

NOT a SCAM. Its AGL marketing/ sales team wanting to introduce you to their new phone & NBA deals. I got them to email me the deals that was on offer and when i logged into my AGL account, it was prompting what she was selling to me over the phone.
I contacted AGL myself and asked & confirmed the phone number that called me.

They DO NOT cold call.
This is a scam call.

Caller: AGL or a marketing call centre on their behalf

AGL-related people (whether it's actually them or a contracted sales centre), spamming severalk times a day trying to sell mobile phone and ingernet connections.
Have been with AGL for 15 or so years.
Have had enought of them either using my data to market things or selling data to others so they can spam my phone over and over every day.
AGL clearly don't care about cutsomers.
Did I mention the fake meter readings every winter?
Check and see if your 'large' winter energy bill is always an 'estimate because we couldn't access the meter'. Even though they meter is always easily accessible?
Just a scam to get you to pay too much one month and then they can 'credit' your account in spring when 'oh we could do a proper reading now..'

Am transferring all my accounts to another energy retailer.

Caller: AGL, supposedly

Missed call on mobile and landline. No message. Assume it’s a known contact as they’ve got both my phone numbers? but would also expect they’d leave a message in that case. Rang number and automated voice states that it’s AGL. Didn’t continue with call as unsure if it’s a sales situation so I hung up. I’m an AGL customer

They should leave a voice message when not answered. But since they did not, I assume it's a scammer.

I called AGL from their number I got off Google and was put through to customer resolutions.
He found a note from a few days ago (they possibly called me then) regarding Nbn.
He said it is a legit number so not to worry

literally calls 2 times a day for the past few days. Never leaves a message. Happy to see so many comment.

Confirmed with AGL, it isn't one of thier numbers. it is a scam.

trying to talk me to switch to AGL internet and mobile phone. I'm an AGL customer, not sure if it's the real AGL. Just block it.

This number is still calliing trying to scam people. They had my first name.

I can confirm it is a scam, asked me to send a copy of one of my identifications. Because at the start of the call what he said made sense with having some credit with AGL I listen until he wanted me to confirm my identity.

(03) 9649 4842 Called me three times today. When I answered the call cuts off within approximately 5 seconds. On the last answered call there was a dog barking in the background. No one spoke however.

Definitely AGL. I signed up before I read these comments and the call got disconnected so I called AGL back on their main number in a panic. Everything I was sold & all my details I provided were uploaded correctly, the deal was legit.

Call me 3 times and hang ups. When I called back, voicemail claiming to be AGL. I don’t know if this is spam or legit AGL
