Scam caller spoke with foreign accent phishing for personal details

Caller: Claimed to be Telstra

Emma claiming to be from Telstra trying to tell me my internet is compromised. We don't have a Telstra account.

Hung up as soon as I answered a woman breathed into the phone for 2 sec or so then hung up

Caller: Scam

Claimed to be calling from Telstra and said my IP address has been compromised from Private to Public. Googled it and found the scam alert on Telstra website.

“Your IP has changed from Private to Public” scam.

In this telephone scam, the caller tries to convince you that your home network, and your IP address, has switched from a “private” to “public” mode, and that you are at risk. This is a trick to try to convince you to let the caller have remote access to your computer and home network. As always, Telstra advises you to immediately hang up on any such caller.

Caller from Melbourne VIC. Picked up, said hello and then they hung up. Scam caller

They said they were eBay and that there was a $500 purchase from California. The lady had a very strong accent. I told her she was trying to scam me and she tried to convince me that she wasn't asking for any personal details and that it was urgent that I fixed my account. Then she tried to get me to login to my computer. I hung up on her.
