Telemarketing follow up from an electricity comparison website I used. The site wouldn't give you a quote without providing a phone number. When they rang me the first thing they asked was "Who am I talking to". I promptly hung up.

Rings but leaves no message then when I answer it hangs up

I used the electricity comparison and within 3 minutes of going off the web site they rang me. No comparing on line, just a ruse to get you in.

All the above comments are true. Such a shame that the alleged energy comparision website is nothing but a scam

Melbourne number, keeps calling me after I block them, they call back with a new number. I hdbe never requested electricity comparisons in my life. Getting calls daily.

Same story. Tried the comparison website. They called today and I said I had already made arrangements but did not stop them calling me again half an hour later. These leeches are feeding off concern about electricity prices. They jump on a bandwagon, insulation rebates, solar rebates or whatever to try and browbeat Australians and unfortunately it is usually those that can least afford it get conned by these low lifes

I didn't even finish the information as I couldn't find my power bill - still got a call 10 minutes later!

Calls multiple times a day. Leaves no message. Occasional there is an audio file - also nothing on it.

After 6 calls from various similar numbers in 24 hours I rang them and asked them to take me off their list as they were harassing me and I had not used their service. Call was recorded so let's see if the calls do stop!

Haven't used the site for over 18 months but have had 6 calls in 2 days. Keep blocking them but they use a slightly different number each time.

Same as all these other comments - I used a comparison site for electricity / gas providers and now being called incessantly. Have blocked two numbers so far, but they call again on similar numbers. Very, very annoying.

All of the above, and ring as late as 7.30pm what does it take to stop these people. I haven't been able to answer my own home phone for many years.

yep, I did the samecomparison thing. It was useless. The quotes were $200 a quarter higher than my bill, and now all these calls from similar numbers that I'm not answering. 9 calls so far today as of 2:30pm.
