caller asked to speak about online account - always wary of ethnic accents so i asked them to call back ( they haven't ) i then checked reverse phone numbers and even thoygh it takes you to the energy australia swichboard , the number does not belong to them.....Energy Auistralia would never ask this type of info so give the caller a blast and block the number

Your Right! Those Energy Un_Australia scumbags tried to charge me over $400 in energy use! When I normally use less than half that! I switched over 2 Alinta & haven't looked back! SCAM! Received a phone cal about unpaid invoices all though we don't have an account with Energy Australia. I sent an email to Energy Australia to complain

It IS Energy Australia. Their credit department is based in Manila. Not all call centres are located in Australia. If you're getting calls, it's because one or more payments have declined and you're in arrears, or you've moved house and haven't paid your final bill from your old address.

I got a call in my mobile few mints ago from this number, It displayed as Eltham, Victoria . I answered the call after two rings and nobody was answered from other end.Very surprise.I did not have interest to call back .

Definitely Spam, when speaking with my they used my husband's surname, but the account is in my name. Thank me for payment and want to put me on direct debit.

they left me a text msg on my phone to say my bill was overdue .when I rang back it was redirected to the (03) 9422 2400 number to pay ..an Indian male voice answered.i told him to ring back in 5 mins. saw ihere it could be a scam number!!!!

i made a complaint to Energy Australia online after giving them my number on chat and then an hour later got a cal from this number and they hung up on me. I think the person i was chatting to was overseas. How incredibly rude! unless the chat was being monitored

This number rang me today: 2 September 2022, 9:45am (Qld time). I answered and they hung up. I've had a similar call on my mobile 2 weeks ago, that time they said they were from Energy Australia and needed to have a 'chat'. I blocked the number on the mobile. These people are sus. I say scam!!

This number is BOTH Enery Australia AND from an overseas call centre. They were getting in contact with me about my request to change my gas over to them and contacting my current provider so it could happen. Legit.
