Scam caller spoke with foreign accent phishing for personal details

Call was to ask for me by name - I said it was a friend answering for me - and to check if I’d received EMS electronic (? Electricity) monitoring system/service. When I mentioned “she’s” on the DNC register (thank you previous poster above!) and suggested they wipe my number as breaking law etc etc I was hung up on. I am pretty sure if I did that at work I’d be fired ergo … SCAM. Love this website for its advice, sharing and checking facility.
Ps always wondered how they’d feel if we turned the tables on them!

Caller: company offering energy savings

I get these calls multiple times a week, from a company claiming to offer energy savings deals (LED lights, etc). I tell each one of the callers that I already have energy savings devices, I'm not interested and request they take my number off their call list. They never do. When I ask to speak to a manager/supervisor, they hangup. I've also advised them that I'm on the Do Not Call Register and that they are breaking the law by cold calling me. Nothing works, they keep calling. I've blocked various numbers in the past and this is the latest one I need to block.

From the other messages this was a scam call blocked by my phone.

Caller: "SAM" from Properi Solar

Typical silence on answering while call centre routes the call to an operator.
Introduced himself as "Sam" asked if I was John.
I asked where he got my number (I am on DNC register) he said "Australian Database Management", asked what call was about, he said govt solar rebate. I asked for company name he said Properi Solar, I asked for street address, he hung up.

Took a while minute to respond after answering the call. Couldnt hear clearly but said he was looking for someone who's name I didn't recognize. Told him he had thr wrong number and he hung up immediately

Scam call at 7pm at night. I have 3 times the amount of blocked calls than I do contacts now. So much for the DND register.

Same number has rung 3 times this afternoon. Did not answer. Blocked.

Asking if I had received my electricty monitoring device from the Vic govt. Hung up when I said didn't live in Vic.

I didn’t answer this call. Obviously based on the feedback here it was the appropriate response. Block. Report to Aust govt cyber crime, Telstra Optus Vodafone & other telcos. We don’t want these criminals Australia !!!!

Do not answer unknown numbers.
No message left.
Block all of these type of calls.
As per all other comments "scammers"

My guess it is a scam. I don't answer it.
