received two calls in a few hours. Have blocked numbers from Red Cross before and they just call from another line.

The Australian Red Cross called me in regards to a refresher First Aid course I attended, arranged by my employer. Not a nuisance call.

I have contacted the Australian Red Cross about a call from this number this morning with an email. And I spoke with a man who was able to verify the call and said that it is a genuine call and that it is not a scam call.

I had a call from (03) 9132 8601 on 11 Feb 2019 at 9:20am on my home phone. The caller had a thick indian accent. She said she wanted someone with a certain surname ( which was't myself anyway) because they are looking for volunteers to help collect or raise money for the Good Friday Appeal.

My number is on the Do Not Call Register. I was not the person or surname the indian caller had asked for. I said: No.

I'm staying alert from callers with Indian accents. I get telephone calls on my home phone every couple of weeks. All of the Indian or Pakistan callers were scam callers including the Microsoft telephone scam which I received.

What i will do now is contact Australian red cross to inform them about this call and see if it was genuine or not. If it was not genuine or a scam i hope that it would assist and alert the red cross with my telephone experience

In the past have participated in Red Cross Calling. Left a VM asking me to participate in 2019.Find doorknock appeals quite stressful so will call them back and politely decline.
