Claimed to be from the "Technical departed if NBN" SCAM.

Called and claimed to be from Commonwealth Bank, sounded like a busy call centre in the background. Definite scam - I don’t bank with Commbank.

Received a call from 03 9123 1053, claiming to be from PayPal and that they had a US$ transaction on my account and that they were calling because "never before have I purchased anything from overseas" - they went on to say it was a person called "James.... (something)" and that the transaction was US$799. They asked me if I used an android or apple phone and I told them I wouldn't tell them and they asked me if I did my transactions by desk top or via phone - and again, I said I wouldn't tell them.
I asked them how a transaction can go ahead when I have 2 factor authentication and she went on a spiel about protecting my account, several attempts have been made to change password etc. and that they "NEEDED MY ASSISTANCE TO FIX IT - AND THAT THEY WOULD SEND ME AN AUTHENTICATION LINK" - I hung up at that point!

They claim to be calling from the Commonwealth bank about a suspicious transaction. As I don't even bank with the Commonwealth, I knew it to be a scam immediately (other sign too - call takes a while to connect as it is going through some sort of interchange - when you try to call it back - you can't). I actually suggested to the caller that it was very sad that he felt the need to work for criminals and considering I don't bank with the Commonwealth, it is fraud. He said no maam - I am telling you the truth. I ended the call with a final thought on his call and hung up.

Caller: Said they were from Telstra

They hung up as soon as I asked them questions.

Was told they were calling from Telstra (I am not with Telstra) and that my IP address was now public and I should check on a webpage *checkmyipaddress). I told then I went there and it told me to report the call to the police! ha ha ha

Hung up straight away.

Amazon account has been hacked- asked to provide them with personal details

eBAY SCAM - became very abusive when I asked how I could verify he was from ebay.

As soon as there was a pause after I answered; I just hung up as it had a to be a scammer

I really do need to buy a whistle!

Scammer. Claimed to have a payment of $999.99 on PayPal. Had to dial 1 to decline. I don’t have a PayPal account.
