Caller: A man with an Indian sounding accent

A man with an Indian sounding accent called me on Wednesday 8th June 2022 to tell me he is from Gmail and said my Gmail account has been hacked. He said he is from Denmark but originally from Pakistan. He said he is calling from Sydney from Australian Cyber Security. He said my IP address is being used in Mountain View, California in the USA. He told me to google "my IP". I did that and the IP address he gave me appeared at an address in the USA. He must have thought that meant he is genuine. He then told me to press the windows button and the letter r at the same time and a box will appear. He said that was instructions to block my IP address. I wasn't convinced he was genuine and told him I need to apply for jobs and I will call him back. He then disappeared. After seeing these comments about this number being a scammer phone number, it appears that I was correct about him being not genuine.

Missed a call from this number. Tried to call back and it didn’t connect, just 3 beeps.

Didn’t answer. Somehow managed to leave a message on the voicemail. Chinese lady’s recorded voice speaking in Chinese briefly switching to English to say “fed ex, tried to deliver your letter on numerous times”

Said I need to pay them $500 then hung up

Called me (I was expecting a call back regarding complaint with a company) he asked if I was my FIRST AND LAST NAME and I said yeah he said he’s Jason from Yahoo security Dept and calling re my (actual) email address he read out in full. I asked where was this dept and he hung up. Came here to confirm scammer, pissed I said yeah to the name part

Automated PayPal scam sent to voicemail.

Called me and didn't speak. Heard a call center in the background. Called back and didn't connect. Blocked the number

I could not answer I was on the other line but they did not leave a message so i am not concerned.

When I answered the call, I didn’t speak, and they hung up.

Tried to call me with no message left. This number tried calling 1/2 hour after I texted back the last scam caller today saying I’d reported them to e-crimes division, so enjoy jail time!
