Cost of living survey - four questions. Didn't identify themselves, accented voice on the end of the time. Started to say I didn't want to answer their questions, was told "F$%^ you". Number is now blocked in my phone.

They have been calling my number once weekly for about 8 weeks. I’ve never picked up and they do not leave a message.

Caller: Australian Bureau of Statistics - Cost of Living Survey

The lady asked 4 questions:
1. Are you between 25 - 55
2. Are you single or married
3. Is your combined income over $100k
4. Does the current environment affecting your cost of living

Stupid me answering those questions, but I I think those questions won't affect too much?

Scam call. Do not answer any questions

This number has called me 8x in the last week or so. Another scammer.

Calls at least once a day. Never leaves a message. I've called back and the number disconnects. It doesn't ring.

have had 5 missed calls from this number , no message left. tried to return call would not ring. have now blocked after reading all the above reports

Have had several calls from this number. They called asked if I was who I am and when I said who’s calling they yelled f*ck you and hung up!

I answered the call with “Hello Cath speaking” and I was expecting a medical related call for my son. The foreign sounding male said “Is this Cath?” I said “Yes, who’s this?” and the called said “Hello, F*ck You” and hung up.

Called claiming to be ABS - when asked to verify their identity, the caller became agitated and hung up. Recommend ‘block’

Indian scammers. Beware!!!. Using numbers that you can't return call registered to a defunct company NZ 3 Pty Ltd. Do not answer, then block this caller. Advise ACMA of the scam. Highly likely an identity theft scam.

Said they were from the Bureau of Statistic. Said they only had 4 questions, when I tried to call the number back it would not go through. Be warned

3 missed calls in a few days. Obviously more of the same scam, not that Telstra would care given that they make money out of every call and phone line sold

The number just calls and then immediately stops after two rings. I have blocked it now

I did not recognise number so did not answer and they didn't leave a message, so assumed it’s not important. I checked here and found great information, thank you everybody and now I know who called me, and will now block.

Just got a missed call. I came here to see what or who the caller was. Glad I didn't pick up thanks to many people commenting. Thank you all x

Foreign voice stating they were calling from Wyndham city council. Stated they were doing a cost of living survey. I stated my council don’t do such surveys. They hung up. I reported to my local council what’s occurring
