If everyone just ignore unknown number calls, there will be no more spam. If it is urgent or genuine they will leave a message. Spread this around , starve the spammers to 'death'

Called the number back and it was for CT Energy Sales looking at selling a new connection

Spoke with caller for about 5 mins. Said wanted to know why I had changed power providers. I said as far as I knew, I had never used them and he seemed surprised. If you get a call, suggest tell them you have an embedded power provider (Units, Apartments etc) and they will probably stop calling. If all else fails, block them.

These people never leave a message. Funny that. I never answer unless they are on my contacts list. Real glad to have this site to check with.
I wonder if the same rubbish happens overseas. Surely governments and/or service providers can stop this time wasting nonsense.
I think I now have more 'blocked' numbers than actual contacts on my phone
